Our 15-year-old dog was suffering from several underlying health complications as well as a serious abscess wound that impacted her mobility, energy, and general quality of life. We were considering euthanasia but came across the Integrative Pet Wellness Center and contacted them as a last resort. After the first visit, we could see an improvement in her vitality and mobility, which was pretty amazing! The entire staff is so knowledgeable and communicative, and their progressive approach to treatment is both effective and compassionate.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Chen and her team! They’ve completely changed the way I think about veterinary medicine. We found Dr. Chen when my dog Jane was being treated for urinary crystals, her previous vet gave us big brand prescription food that I never really trusted but I felt like we had no other options so I went with it. After a while of using that food, I wanted a second opinion so we reached out to Dr. Chen. I’m so glad that I did because we’ve been able to solve her urinary issues and improve her overall health with the right combination of fresh food and supplements! While it’s led to more vet visits than our previous vet, it feels so much more of a proactive approach to my dog’s health. The previous approach felt like putting a band-aid on the problem, while Dr. Chen’s approach feels like we’re actually doing the work to solve the issue. Every member of the staff is incredibly kind and I also think every vet office should be like Integrative Pet Wellness Center. My dog is not a fan of the vet, and while she is still nervous to go to the vet, I can help her so much more at Dr. Chen’s. There is no “waiting room” so you’re not in a room with other owners and their dogs, and the exam rooms have a living room feel to them. Aside from a lengthy drop-off procedure, I’ve never been away from my dog. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Dr. Chen, Gabby, Maria, and the rest of the staff are all such wonderful, caring people. Our Dog Bernie was seen by them for almost a year and they treated him with such love and respect. They were able to extend his life many months beyond what we were told by other vets and gave us more time with our beloved guy. I would definitely recommend taking your animals here — they will be in great hands.

WOW. I have been taking my dog to Dr. Chen for around 6months. It is wild the impact Dr. Chen and her team have made on my dog’s life (especially in comparison to some of the Western Vet practices).

Before we saw Dr. Chen, our dog, Gregg had a cancerous skin mass removed on his face at 3 years old. A friend recommended Dr. Chen. The team first gave Gregg an allergy test which revealed we were feeding him foods that irritated his skin.

In addition, Gregg has received microbiome testing, acupuncture, and supplements for his compromised immune system. These practices have noticeably changed Gregg’s energy levels and overall well-being in such a short time.

Most recently, Gregg stopped producing tears in one eye and had below-average tear production in the other. We initially took him to a Western Medicine Vet and then a vet optometrist. The medication they prescribed helped a little but didn’t bring his tear production back to normal (after about 2 months).

Then, we went back to Dr. Chen. Lily and her team prescribed droplets of plasma to put in Gregg’s eyes. After one week, the low tear production eye was above normal. 2 weeks later, his eye that was producing 0 tears two weeks earlier had raised to normal rates. He’s back to being a happy boy, no longer irritated by his dry eye and just loving life.

This team is not only incredibly intelligent and innovative, but they are so kind and truly love all the animals they work with. I highly, highly recommend anyone thinking about coming to Integrative Pet Wellness Center to please go and see for yourself.

They are very kind and caring. They let me hold my pet during the blood draw. They talked sweetly to him during the procedure. So far so good! We have many more appointments scheduled with them in the near future.

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Chen and her wonderful, dedicated staff. Our family pet, Mochi, suddenly developed a vertigo and balance issue that was so severe that she couldn’t walk straight and would fall on her side. This was compounded by her added inability to eat anything we tried to give her, Mochi’s condition was steadily worsening by the day. We were truly fearful at this point that we might lose her. A friend had spoken to me about the terrific experience she had with Dr. Chen, so we contacted Dr. Chen and were fortunate enough to be able to schedule an appointment for Mochi. Within a day after Mochi’s first treatment, she started to make a miraculous recovery and we could see her spunky personality steadily returning. She’s now her same energetic self. My friends who witnessed Mochi’s condition and saw her amazing recovery, wanted to see if they could make appointments with Dr. Chen, not for their pets but for themselves.

I can’t thank you enough, Dr. Chen and Karina, for the kind and loving care that you give Mochi.

My Labradoodle, Leia, and I love Dr. Lily and Amanda and Maria and all the team at Integrative Pet! They are all so kind and calm with both my anxious girl and her Mom. So glad we discovered the Center and the great mix of alternative and traditional treatments.

Our Chihuahua, Miss Penny, has been hospitalized several times since we adopted her in 2019. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Our veterinarian would treat the symptoms and Penny would get better. Unfortunately, Penny would fall victim to her ailment every few months. She would be so unhappy and I imagine experiencing quite a bit of discomfort. Penny would not be her usual happy self. We researched pancreatitis and wanted to manage her condition instead of the symptoms.

Fortunately, we found Dr. Chen and her staff. Integrative Pet Wellness has given us the options we were looking for. The treatments Penny has received have shown improvements in her overall well-being. Dr. Chen has focused on the root causes of Penny’s condition and has developed a plan to keep Penny out of the hospital. We are very happy with what we have seen and encouraged for Penny’s future. In only three months, Penny’s test results have shown great improvement and she is now being weaned off her restrictive diet. Penny’s outlook is very positive. We are happy to see our girl free of pain and discomfort. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with Dr. Chen and her wonderful staff.

After seeing countless vets we finally found our forever vet with Dr. Chen and her awesome team. My dog was dealing with really bad incontinence, and I was devastated to hear from another vet that she may have Cushing’s. I literally thought it was going to be downhill from here since my dog was 11 years old and she would have to spend the rest of her life with strong medications and diapers. To my surprise, my dog did not have Cushing’s and Dr. Chen was able to diagnose her properly. She fixed her incontinence with acupuncture, diet, and herbal supplements. Dr. Chen was also the only vet who noticed my dog had arthritis! Looking back, it made so much sense because she was always a clumsy dog and had trouble walking on hardwood floors. I truly feel Dr. Chen and her team have literally added years to my dog’s life. She acts like a puppy again, is full of energy, and is always full of surprises with her improved health. How Dr. Chen approaches her practice is truly a much more warming and intimate experience than your conventional vet. They really take the time to listen and get to know your pet. My dog is the world to me and I feel extremely blessed to have found Dr. Chen and her team.

Dr. Chen is one of the most gentle and compassionate vets we have ever encountered. Her approach to helping our senior English Bulldog with her arthritis was simple and effective and gave our pup an incredible quality of life through age 16. Through alternative medicines, acupuncture, and laser therapies we were able to relieve her pain and even saw her run in the yard like a puppy after a few sessions. It gave us peace of mind knowing that we were doing what we could to keep our girl pain-free and happy. Bringing Dr. Chen into our lives was the best decision we ever made.

Dr. Chen and her acupuncture are a miracle — literally. I have a 10-year-old labradoodle who could barely stand up. Having her come to the house was a Godsend as I was unable to get him into a car. He had been moaning from lower back pain which had been a problem for a few weeks. He had been on pain medicine – but that only masked the problem. After his first acupuncture treatment, he was running and playing again within the first week. He had his second treatment today and he is in love with Dr. Chen! She is clearly a natural with animals. I can’t say enough great things — she is a miracle in our lives as my dog is no longer suffering and his injury is actually healing! Thank you, Dr. Chen!

Dr. Chen responded right away to my call. She was so caring on the phone I knew we’d be in good hands. I could not lift my overweight 12-year-old golden retriever. I thought acupuncture might help him. He had been slipping on walks and on the stairs — it was very worrisome. Dr. Chen has been helping him with treatment and acupuncture. She stopped his pain meds immediately — he has not needed them due to her treatment! Dr. Chen is wonderful!

Dear Dr. Lily,

I’m so excited because it’s almost Sunday! Before you even knock, I’ll be at the front door to greet you. I hope that you bring some yummy treats. My favorite is the colostrum because sometimes it sticks to my nose and makes Mom laugh. The turmeric treat is so delicious. Combined with my acupuncture treatments, it makes me able to run and jump like I did when I was a puppy.

Honestly, I’m not very brave or fond of needles, but I watched my brother Sammy heal and get so strong that I decided to give it a try, and I love it! It makes me feel so good. Before you gave Sammy acupuncture treatments, he would drag his back legs. After a while, Sammy started walking like he used to, then running and one day jumping up on his favorite perch, the leather chair by the window. He loved the acupuncture and your attention so much. Remember how he draped himself across you? He was so relaxed that he fell asleep and snored! That’s true love and trust. I miss my brother, but he had a great life. He had several. You saved him from himself so many times. Remember the time he swallowed Sophie’s favorite ball whole and had severe pancreatitis? Luckily you diagnosed it and assembled the surgical team so fast that Sammy recovered only to go back to his old ways and eat a stomach full of grass and sticks. Then you saved him again!

Then there was my sweet sister Sophie. She was so scared when she got cancer. We all were, but because you diagnosed it so fast and were able to take blood at our house, Sophie was spared more physical and emotional pain. Sophie never liked going to the doctor’s office. She used to shake and tremble. Since you came to our house, Sophie was brave and happy. I had to nudge her out of the way so I could give you kisses first.

Sophie didn’t like the chemotherapy and it made her sick, but the acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and green tea you prescribed made her more comfortable. It gave her a quality of life and allowed her to be her happy self until the end. Mom has a great photo of a relaxed and happy Sophie getting her final acupuncture treatment and a video of her wagging her tail and eating a whole container of turkey.

Mom said you’re a born healer and trusted you to know what to do and when. She said that you stayed with her and Sophie, and that Sophie passed peacefully. You have always made all of our lives better. You are the best doctor in the world. You give the best hugs, have the best treats and always know how to make me feel better. I love you, Dr. Lily!

Dr. Chen is not only one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet, but she is also incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. Our 14-year-old medium-to-large rescue pooch Jordy, who is arthritic and came to us with lots of scars and lumps from past injuries, experienced unbelievable results from just one treatment! I should mention that, on top of being old and arthritic, he also completely ruptured his ACL/CCL almost two years ago, and he has walked with a pretty good limp since then, despite our best efforts at rehabbing it (he did not have surgery). When Dr. Chen told us we might see a result from just one treatment, I was a bit skeptical because our Jordy is just so compromised. But — the day after his first treatment, he was running and playing in the yard the way he did a few years ago, and clearly feeling so much better! He has been walking with a much more fluid gait, and walking faster and farther than we have been able to walk him in a long time. It’s been over a week since his treatment, and he is still feeling great! We can’t get over it. Everyone in my family now wants to have the treatment he had. Dr. Chen is amazing!!!! We are so lucky we found her. Thank you, Dr. Chen!!!!

I could give more stars to Dr. Lily I would, and so would Oscar de la Hoya, my 10-year-old boxer. When I found Dr. Lily I was in a panic, as my fur child had recently had surgery to remove a large mass from on top of his kidney and vena cava. The diagnosis was grim — hemangiosarcoma, one of the most aggressive forms of dog cancer and the prognosis was a 1-3 month lifespan if we did not do chemo. I was struggling with all the information that I was trying to sort through in order to make the right decisions for him and looking for a holistic vet for an alternate opinion. I had also heard that acupuncture could be good for dogs with this diagnosis as well as arthritis which was starting to rear its head with Oscar.

Thank goodness I found Dr. Lily as she covered all of those bases and exceeded my expectations and continues to do so! Don’t get me wrong, I was a bit skeptical at first – dogs and acupuncture? Really? However, after the first few sessions, it was obvious that Oscar’s arthritis symptoms were easing and that he was thriving and thoroughly enjoying his sessions with her (hence all of the tail wagging and licking when he sees her!) She was also so calm and reassuring to me, that she truly helped me resolve my panic over his health and think more clearly about the path of his care.

Dr. Lily helped me work through the decision on chemo (which I ultimately chose not to do,) recommended supplements and diet protocols for Oscar, as well as kept an eye on any new lumps and bumps that came along. She patiently answers all of my questions (and even ones about my cat whom she doesn’t treat,) answers texts quickly, and goes above and beyond the in-home treatment. Without Dr. Lily, her treatments, knowledge, support, and compassion, Oscar would not be where he is today, plowing past that 1-3 month lifespan diagnosis on his way to almost 16 months past that!!!

On top of all of that, I truly have come to enjoy her visits and our conversations — she is a genuine person with great care and compassion for animals and the people she works with. I highly, highly recommend her and would trust her with the care of any animal (and human being!)
