Let me ask you a quick question: are you secretly (or, let’s be real, not so secretly) trying to get your dog or cat to live forever? Or at least break a record for being the oldest living pet?

If you’re on this email list, the answer is probably a big YES.

Then you have to hear this story.

So there’s a cat living in the UK called Millie who just turned 30 years old.

Her goal? To make it into the Guinness World Records as the oldest living cat (the oldest cat recorded was Creme Puff who lived until 38 years and 3 days). WOW! 🤯

You know how they say 50 is the new 40 for humans?

Well maybe 30 is the new 20 for cats… and 20 is the new 10 for dogs? 💁‍♀️

Millie lives in Stockport, England with her dad Leslie Greenhough, and she eats a diet of salmon, prawns, and bottled water (love that queen energy Millie 👑).

And while I wouldn’t recommend too much seafood just because of the heavy metals in fish like salmon, what is amazing about this diet is the abundance of healthy fats, omega 3s, and of course that it’s a fresh food diet.

And this kitty sounds like she’s getting some seriously good water! (Dad also mentioned she gets loads of cuddles and treats too).

I had to look up the oldest living dog to see who he was.

His name was Bobi and he was said to have lived 31 years (though some vets are now disputing this). Regardless, something Bobi’s dad said really spoke to my heart.

To quote the article about Bobi in TIME, his dad told the Guinness World Records:

“that many factors contributed to Bobi’s longevity, including the ‘calm, peaceful environment’ of his shelter in the family house, and his ‘human food’ diet.”

And honestly that makes a whole lot of sense to me 💗

This is actually something that came up in my conversation with Dr. Marlene Siegel on the podcast.

We talked about how we’ve grown used to our pets living short lives, developing chronic illness, and being on meds constantly… but that’s not how it’s meant to be.

I mean, wolves are bigger than German Shepherds and they often live 13 years, all while surviving the stress of living in the wild.

So here’s the big question…

How do YOU actually give your pet a real shot at living those record-breaking years?

It all comes back to preventative care ✨

This includes feeding a fresh food diet, preventing over-vaccination with titer tests, using ozone therapy instead of antibiotics when possible, doing preventative testing to catch things early, supporting emotional wellbeing, and offering modalities like acupuncture and IV Vitamin C.

But let’s be real… that’s a lot to keep track of 🫠

Which is exactly why I created the Concierge Membership 🛎️💖

So the most devoted pet parents in the world wouldn’t have to feel like they need to hire a personal assistant just to stay on top of everything they need to do for their pet.

In the Concierge Membership we keep track of all of this for you.

We’ll schedule your pet’s weekly ozone insufflation (yep—it’s included!)

We’ll stay on top of preventative tests and care.

Unlimited appointments with me (hi 👋 it’s Dr. Lily 💁🏻‍♀️).

And you’ll get to join weekly live calls where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other pet parents just as devoted as you and attend classes with experts and get to ask them questions for your pets.

You can find out more about the membership right here (we’ve opened a few additional spots) 👇

AND… don’t miss next week’s email. We’re announcing something really special for all our puppy and kitten parents in the Concierge Membership 🐶🐱
