I’ve got some really exciting news to share!

I’m now officially certified as an Integrative Veterinary Cancer Care Practitioner (IVCCP).

That means I’m now stepping fully into the role of an integrative veterinary oncologist. This means we’ll be focusing more deeply on complex, chronic, and advanced cases — especially in oncology and internal medicine—where integrative modalities can make the biggest impact. (and don’t worry I’ll still be seeing pets who don’t have cancer too, it’ll just look a little different, so keep reading).

You see, integrative oncology is just one of the many advanced trainings I’ve been diving into behind the scenes as our little practice has blossomed into something truly special.

From regenerative therapies like stem cells and PRP, to mistletoe therapy, microbiome restoration, acupuncture, and high-dose vitamin infusions, these are the tools that allow us to support healing in ways conventional medicine simply can’t do alone.

We’ve focused on preventive health, a direction where the future of health care should be.

And we place a heavy emphasis on emotional health – for our pets and the caretakers alike.

This is that science-meets-soul philosophy that lives at the very core of how we practice.

And as we move into a new season here at Integrative Pet Wellness Center, I wanted to share my personal thoughts on this careful transition.

Over the years, this little dream of mine, tucked on a little street above the city lights, has grown into something far beyond what I ever imagined.

What began as just me, in a single room, sitting on the floor with my patients…

…has now become a full-on wellness center where pet parents who’ve been told there’s nothing more they can do come to find new hope.

We’ve seen pets with metastatic cancer come back with clear scans.

Paralyzed pups, once told they’d never walk again, start walking.

Pets with severe allergies get off their chronic medications they’ve been on for years.

Autoimmune diseases, gone.

These moments fill me with so much joy!

Not just because they’re medical miracles, but because they show what becomes possible when we dare to innovate and say yes to trying something new.

And now, it’s time to fully step into what’s next.

Starting in June, we’ll be transitioning into a specialty integrative practice.

But first, I want to pause and share the heart behind this shift… because this has been such a big reflection for me coming home from the Animal Health, Nutrition & Technology Innovation (AHNTI) conference in Boston.

It’s no secret: veterinary care is getting more expensive.

And it’s not just here—it’s an industry-wide shift I’m seeing across the country. Between inflation, supply chain issues, and the rising cost of medical technology, I know firsthand how the financial burden is falling more and more on pet parents.

As a mom of two, I feel that too.

And while there’s no easy answer to fix this system overnight (and pet insurance still hasn’t caught up), I’ve been thinking hard about how we, here at IPWC, can lead with integrity and create solutions that still feel like care and community.

And so we’re doing just that.

Over the years, I’ve trained our team with deep purpose and care. Our integrative veterinary assistants and technicians are not just skilled—they’re extraordinary. In my 25 years in this field (starting from my own days as a vet tech), I’ve learned that excellence in this work goes far beyond technical ability. The very best teams show up with heart, purpose, and a sense of meaning in what they do.

I wish I could take you behind the scenes during one of our morning or evening medical rounds. You’d see what I see—this quiet, focused dedication that’s hard to put into words. Every member of our team leans in with full presence. They listen, ask questions, offer insights, and hold so much care for the pets in our lives. It’s the kind of team that doesn’t just do the work—they live it. And that, I believe, is what makes all the difference.

Together, we’ve created a model where I can be involved in every case, developing your pet’s specialty-level care plan… and then our team continues the treatments with precision and love.

This means fewer doctor visits for you (saving on costs), but when I do see your pet, I can go deeper—review their full history, test results, and progress, and adjust their plan with the full power of our integrative toolbox.

We’ll also be introducing bundle options for repeated therapies—so things like ongoing ozone sessions, acupuncture, and microbiome care can become more accessible and affordable. We will still have our payment options – when you need it.

It’s my way of saying: I see you. I know how much this matters. And I want to make it work.

Now, as I step further into oncology, research, speaking, and mentoring other veterinarians, I’ll be limiting general wellness care to families who are part of our Concierge Membership. This transition will likely happen in the next 6-12 months.

This is my heart offering—a way for me to stay deeply connected with the pet parents who want that continued partnership, ongoing access, and personalized support.

You’ll always have access with our incredible integrative techs, access to therapies, our monthly expert masterclasses, and—if anything serious ever comes up—I’ll be right there by your side.

This practice has always been about going deep, not wide.
And I want to keep showing up with all my heart, for the pets and families that have helped build this little unicorn space into what it is today.

We’re still here. We’re just evolving—together.

And I’m so grateful you’re on this journey with me.

This next chapter is really about being at the frontier of what’s possible for pets with “unsolvable” conditions and for those who want to harness the power of preventative care to keep their pet in vibrant health.

We’ll keep sharing updates as June approaches, but if you’ve got questions or want to hop on a quick call with my team to chat about the Concierge Membership or book a specialist consultation with me, contact us —we’re here.

With so much love,
Dr. Lily, Dianne, Dr. Trina, Maria, Mickie, Noelle, Karen, Gina, and Royce

Starlight’s Summer Sparkle

Starlight could feel it—summer was almost here! The sun was warmer, the flowers were blooming, and she was ready for creek splashes, frozen treats, and firefly dances.

But she didn’t forget her furry friends. “Stay cool, drink lots of water, and protect those paws!” she reminded everyone.
