You remember that scene in the first Harry Potter movie where Harry’s Aunt and Uncle haul him off to that tiny, miserable island, thinking they can finally escape all those determined little owls? 🦉📩

And then—BOOM!—Hagrid, this great big man with his pink umbrella, crashes in and hands Harry his Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Harry didn’t know Hagrid.

But he did know he couldn’t stay with his awful Aunt and Uncle. So, with a whole lot of courage he went. He stepped into a world he never imagined.

When I first started learning holistic medicine, it felt exactly like that.
This wasn’t scientific?

Or was it? 💁‍♀️🪄

Regardless, I knew conventional medicine wasn’t going to be enough, so I said yes to my own invitation to Hogwarts and dove in.

The results were nothing short of magical and honestly that’s scientific enough for me (I’m secretly convinced holistic medicine is often at the forefront of science).

And recently I was privileged to witness one of those magical results again.

Let me tell you Olivia’s story 🐈

When Olivia was a kitten, she was diagnosed with Cutaneous Asthenia, which means the connective tissue under her skin didn’t form properly, so she’d often tear. Ouch!

Her conventional vet she was seeing told mom next time she got hurt, she should consider euthanizing. 🥺

But her dedicated mom just wouldn’t accept that, and she came to see us.

We got Olivia on a really good diet, we did PRP injections, photo light therapy, acupuncture, and microbiome therapy.

I kept stitching her up whenever she tore, and we’d carry on with all the holistic therapies that were really all about supporting her foundational health.

And now… Olivia’s skin is no longer tearing! 🎉

This girl’s feeling so invincible she’s even picking a little fight with her housemate now and then. 🦸‍♀️

I just wish more pet parents knew that sometimes, when conventional medicine says there are no options, if the body is supported, pets can get better, they can heal, and they can have a really normal life.

Starlight Stories

Here’s a picture of me with my friend Bailey

Hey, sparkle squad! :unicorn_face::sparkling_heart:

It’s me, Starlight, here to sprinkle a little extra love and care your way.

I know how much you cherish your furry friends, and guess what?

Dianne does too 🥰

That’s why she recently took Dr. Tori Counter’s course on Paw Sha.

It’s like Gua Sha but for pets 💅

By gently gliding this special flat stone called a Gua Sha (or Paw Sha for pets) along your dog or cat’s fur in a specific way, it can smooth out their fascia, relieve pain, stimulate some beneficial acupuncture points, and enhance their mobility.

It can even help decrease anxiety for pets who are feeling a bit stressed out.

Dianne is now offering one-on-one sessions at the clinic.

You can either book a session for your pet to experience it firsthand or bring your own Paw Sha tool and Dianne will guide you through the techniques so you can continue this calming ritual at home.
