How many stuffed toys does one really need to take to Japan?
That’s the debate my daughter Lila and I are having tonight as we pack.
She handed me a bunny. 🐰 Then another.
Okay, two bunnies. We can agree on that.
It’s wild to think that tomorrow we’ll be on a plane to one of my favorite places on earth (have you been before?)
By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be sitting at the foot of Mt. Fuji drinking matcha.

These past few months have been incredibly busy, and I wanted to take a moment to pull back the curtain and share a little behind-the-scenes peek with you.
Let’s start with something I’m so excited about: Unicorn Academy.
As you may know, I call myself the Unicorn Vet.
All the vets who work at my practice (Dr. Stephen and Dr. Trina) are Unicorn Vets.
(AKA we go beyond conventional veterinary care and will do whatever it takes to help a pet heal.)
For a while now I’ve been feeling called to train other vets around the world who are curious about holistic modalities and want to learn what’s truly possible when it comes to helping pets heal.
The truth is, the pets we care for aren’t just patients—they’re family.
I believe it’s so important to have vets who truly honor the human-animal bond and treat each pet like the most important one in the world (because, to their pet parents, they are).
That’s why I’m launching Unicorn Academy—an online school where vets can learn everything they didn’t teach us in vet school 💁♀️
And my very first course I’ll be offering will be the Magic of Microbiome, a course that teaches vets how to do microbiome therapy 🦠✨
