Today, I want to take you on a journey down memory lane, to a time when a dream was born and a little treat started something big. This is a story close to my heart, a tale of passion, collaboration, and a sprinkle of magic. ✨
Back in 2016, I crossed paths with a kindred spirit, Dr. Helen Chiu, during my early days as a general practitioner veterinarian in West Hollywood. We connected instantly, fueled by a shared drive to improve pet health through holistic approaches. Our conversations often danced around the power of nutrition, and the idea of creating something that could truly make a positive impact on our furry friends’ lives took root. 🌱
This was the birth of Vetcreations, our shared vision that soon became a reality and a pet supplement company. Our first creation was none other than a delicious treat. Turmeric, with its potent anti-inflammatory properties and numerous health benefits, captured our attention. We embarked on a journey to create a treat that not only tasted amazing but also harnessed the potential of turmeric in a way that truly supported pets’ well-being. It was a year of perfecting the recipe before bringing this into the world. 🐾
You see, turmeric’s active ingredient, curcumin, thrives in the presence of heat, fat, and black pepper. These elements enhance its bioavailability, allowing the body to absorb and benefit from its therapeutic goodness. We fused this knowledge with the principles of Chinese food therapy, creating a treat that served as a blood tonic, immune booster, and remarkable anti-inflammatory agent.
Our passion project thrived for a while, and seeing pets and their families benefit from these treats was incredibly rewarding. Yet, as life often unfolds, our paths diverged, and we had to say goodbye to Vetcreations. But as fate would have it, some things circle back in the most unexpected ways. 🌀
Ashley, one of our incredible technicians, shares our deep dedication to holistic care. She’s taken up the mantle, breathing life back into our original recipe for these exceptional treats. It’s a full-circle moment, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to see these treats find their way back into our practice. 🐕🦺
