An unmistakable BARK announced Sophie’s presence.
The little Havapoo with a very big bark always lets us know when she has arrived.
I went to the door to greet her. “Good morning, Sophie!”.
She gave me a lick on my hand and scampered off to her room–she knows exactly where to go every time.
(We consciously choose to keep the same room for her every time, just to give her that consistency / certainty/routine).
She went to lie down on her soft, mint-coloured bed in her room. Ready for the treatment to start.
Sophie’s mum popped a treat into her mouth. Yum!
Mom sat down next to her and stayed with her for the entire IV Vit C treatment.
I spent some time chatting with mom -after all the wellness center was created to support both people and their pets 🫶
I reminded her Sophie doesn’t know she has cancer. She just knows she doesn’t feel so good sometimes, so we all need to be as positive around her as we can and let her know everything is going to be okay.
I have to shout out Sophie’s mom. She drives an hour and a half to get to the wellness center and an hour and a half back home. And she stays with Sophie for the entire 2-3 hour long Vitamin C IV process every week. She comes here twice a week – once for the IV Vitamin C therapy and once for her acupuncture and ozone therapy (because they should ideally be spaced out)
Her dedication to helping Sophie heal is unwavering 💜
You see, back in February 2022, Sophie was diagnosed with Apocrine Gland Anal Sac Adenocarcinoma (AGASACA).
This is considered a pretty aggressive cancer, and by July 2023, it had metastasized to her liver and lymph nodes.
After Sophie’s conventional surgery to remove what they can for the cancer, Dr. Trina and I started helping to care for Sophie – incorporating CBD, giving Sophie vitamin C therapy via IV, acupuncture, ozone therapy, and microbiome therapy.
We gave her herbs, supporting supplements, and medicinal mushrooms.
And Sophie’s mom made her home-cooked meals high in quality proteins (including beef, chicken, eggs, and organ meats).
Her most recent scan has revealed that the masses in Sophie’s liver had notably reduced in size. Yay! We celebrated with her conventional medical oncologist as it is very rare for this type of cancer to stay stable, not to mention reduce in size! But I have seen this with integrative medicine over and over again.
While these treatments are no doubt powerful, and we’ll continue treating Sophie, I wholeheartedly believe the most potent medicine Sophie receives is the love her mother gives her everyday 💜
Sophie’s journey is a testament to the power of integrative care, unwavering love, and a positive environment. As caretakers, our energy profoundly impacts the animal in our lives. Science has shown that our electromagnetic field, resonance, frequency, and biophoton energy create a measurable connection to those around us. When we cultivate emotional balance, optimism, and calm, our animals feel it deeply – it’s a form of healing that can’t be bottled or prescribed.
Sophie’s mom embodies this beautifully. Her love, presence, and positivity are as much a part of Sophie’s healing process as the treatments we provide. Let this be a reminder for all of us: by nurturing our own emotional well-being, we create a ripped effect that supports the health and happiness of the animals we love so much. Together, with love and balance, we can face any challenge. 💜

And because November is cancer prevention awareness month, I want to make cancer prevention the focus this month.
For this month – You can get 10% off your glyphosate test as a drop off test!
What’s Glyphosate, you ask? It’s a toxic herbicide that has been linked to cancer.
And yes, even pets who don’t live near farms are being exposed to it 🐄
Helping your pet detox glyphosate, if there is any in their system, is an important step towards preventing cancer 👇
Just mention “pumpkin pie” when you book to get 10% off 😉🥧
