Dear Friends and Pet Lovers,
What a whirlwind of a month it has been! As I sit here, the sunlight streaming through the window and a comforting cup of tea in hand, I find myself reflecting on the adventures and trials of the past few weeks. From the tremors of an earthquake in Taiwan to the hustle of back-to-back meetings and presentations, it’s been a journey of immense growth and little breaths of serenity.
During my time in Taiwan, I experienced an earthquake that rattled more than just the ground— it shook me to my core, reminding me of nature’s immense power and unpredictability. Returning home wasn’t any less hectic, as the clinic burst into a frenzy of activity. Then, it was off to Colorado Springs for a veterinary management meeting, where the challenge continued as Shannon and I sprinted across the Denver airport only to miss our connecting flight, thanks to a delay. That night, we found ourselves strategizing our next steps with just a few hours of sleep before heading back to a full day at the clinic.
Amidst this chaos, I was diligently preparing for an international summit on ozone therapy for cancer pets, a treatment option that I believe holds promising benefits for our beloved pets. This culminated in a presentation that I poured my heart and intellect into, hoping to share knowledge that could transform veterinary care.
However, the physical toll of such a packed schedule wasn’t silent. An old injury flared up, bringing with it a sharp reminder of how chronic pain can shadow even the brightest moments.Â
Amidst these personal challenges, the stories of our pet community brought joy and inspiration. Hearing about Leia’s mom witnessing the ethereal Northern Lights, Frankie’s mom gearing up for a triathlon, and Ollie and Ellie’s mom preparing for an adventure in South Africa was like a balm to my spirit. And then there’s Ruby, a sweet patient of ours who celebrated her first birthday after overcoming a rare disease—a testament to the power of integrative care that combines acupuncture, supplements, and tailored nutrition.
Yesterday, after delivering my lecture on the benefits of ozone therapy, I embraced the outdoors. And today, a soothing aromatherapy massage provided by our clinic’s very own unicorn, Liz, helped me reset and appreciate the calm after the storm. Now, refreshed and rejuvenated, I find solace in the slow, intentional pace of this beautiful Sunday.
Life often moves at a breakneck speed, but there is profound beauty and wisdom in taking moments to slow down, breathe deeply, and move forward with intention. Let us all remember to listen to our bodies and minds, giving them the care and rest they deserve. Together, let’s cherish these journeys and the stories that intertwine our lives.
Â
Let’s continue to share these moments, learn from each other, and support our pets in living their best lives. Your stories and experiences enrich our community, and I am ever so grateful for each and every one of you 🩷
Warmest regards and heartfelt wishes for a peaceful, fulfilling month ahead,
💜 Dr. Lily 🌿
