Here’s something kinda wild I had to share with you Dianne!

I recently picked up traces of gold… in a pup. Yep, actual gold. How this little cutie got exposed to it? I have no clue! šŸ¤”

Were they sneaking some licks off someone’s ring? šŸ’šŸ˜‚

Now, I’m not too worried about a little gold, it’s the more serious heavy metals and environmental toxins that really get my attention 😟

You see, before I enrolled in my integrative oncology training last year, I wasn’t really testing pets for toxins much.

Sure, I’d check for heavy metals once in a while, mostly because they were part of mineral panels and I did see a fair number of pets come back with high mercury levels.

But then I started digging deeper into my cancer cases. And what I found was impossible to ignore.

Toxins aren’t just ā€œout there.ā€ They are INSIDE our pets 😳

When I started testing for glyphosate (a common pesticide), I was shocked to see that over half of the pets I tested had toxic levels and cancer patients were the ones who showed the highest levels of all.

The most amazing part?
When we started detoxing, their chronic issues like chronic itching and chronic diarrhea and vomiting began resolving. Cancer patients were tolerating their treatments better and enjoying the best quality of life.

This made me rethink everything I knew about prevention, healing, and true wellness care.

And because I want every pet parent to feel empowered to support their pet’s detox journey, we put together a super helpful guide with simple, doable at-home options. Just tap below to grab it šŸ‘‡

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Positive energy knows no boundaries.” – Lu Wei

CONCIERGE MEMBERSHIP

This month, we’ve been leaning into something truly special: the realization that our own healing is deeply intertwined with the health of our pets.

So often, we focus entirely on fixing what’s wrong with our animals—forgetting that our stress, our emotions, our energy affect them too.

That’s why this week, I offered a guided meditation centered on emotions—learning how to hold space for the big feelings that come with being a devoted pet parent.

Take a listen, click here, and remember: when we heal ourselves, we create the space for our pets to heal too.

If you’d like to join this powerful collective of pet parents and experience these healing moments for yourself, click on the button below to find out more.

Together, we’re building a space where we heal as a whole—pets, people, and hearts alike. šŸ’–

PODCAST HOUR

podcast graphics episode 45

This week’s podcast is all about making veterinary care less stressful and more accessible for families.

Some of you are already enrolled in VetBilling through our clinic, and we’ve seen firsthand how much it’s helped.

In this episode, Dr. Lily sits down with Suzanne Cannon, the founder of VetBilling, for a heartfelt and informative conversation about the financial side of veterinary care and how it can be handled with more compassion, flexibility, and support.

Suzanne shares the personal story that inspired her to create VetBilling after experiencing what so many pet parents face.

You’ll learn:

  • How VetBilling works differently from credit-based options like CareCredit or Scratchpay
  • Why pet insurance isn’t always enough on its own
  • What you can do now to feel more prepared for unexpected costs
  • How relationship-based payment plans make a real difference for both families and veterinary teams

šŸŽ§ If you’ve ever worried about affording care or want to feel more confident navigating vet visits, this episode is for you.

Starlight Stories

A person holding a plush unicorn toy in hand

One sunny morning, Starlight the Unicorn peeked into the Integrative Pet Wellness Center. The scent of lavender and sunshine filled the air, and the clinic was buzzing with its usual magic.

Royce was calming a pup with gentle words and skilled hands. Gina zipped by with supplements and a big smile. Maria organized charts like a quiet whirlwind. Dianne moved from task to task, effortlessly answering questions while keeping everyone on track. Karen cradled a sleepy kitty after acupuncture, and Mickie was coordinating care behind the scenes, double-checking refills, helping clients, and keeping the flow going.

Behind the scenes, Lindsey chimed in from afar, answering questions, double-checking details, and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks.

And Dr. Lily? She was at the heart of it all, offering insight, compassion, and care with every patient she saw.

Starlight watched it all, heart full.

This,ā€ she thought, ā€œis summer too, not just warmth and sunshine, but people who care deeply, doing what they love.ā€

She settled under the lemon tree outside, a soft breeze in her mane, and whispered:
✨ ā€œThe real glow comes from within—and from the team that shines together.ā€
